+We all know that feeling when we look in the diary and it reads nail appointment! All my troubles melt away as I start to Pinterest perfectly polished, moisturised, fancy fingers. It can’t be just me that feels like the absolute shit after a fresh set?(Pardon my french)

+This first nail trend of 2022 brings me back to my school days and giving my mates a fancy and cheap french manicure with the trusty tip- ex, those were the days. But yeah french tips are making a come back but with a twist. Were talking neons, cow prints and even diamantés are shaping up as everyones most loved look.
02: FRESH FINGER
+ Okay the second big trend according to the experts is getting back to basics. Fresh, natural manicures and crystal clear tones of almond, latte and cream are simply all we need. A favourite artist of mine to scan for inspiration is@Harrietwestmorland. If your lucky enough to get in with her you can expect nothing less than luxury glass like nails. Shes actually calls this her signature glazed doughnut design which is very popular amongst her famous clients like Rochelle Humes. She will prep your pins to utter perfection and follow it up with a sumptuous scrub sent from the beauty gods. By gods I mean Chanel. Her instagram is a encomium to this seasons fresh fetishs so I’ll just leave her link here and you can thank me later.
03: MIX & MATCH
+Mix and match customised creations and personalised prints. Were talking lettering, characters, gems and all kinds on funky colours. Basically whatever you’re feeling just get it painted on. The time and skills of some artist’s are out of this world with just a handful of ideas below.
+Okay so now you know they trends. The real deal is I’ve got the nail gal’s everyone needs to know. I’ve done the rounds and drove ridiculous lengths for a decent manicure and a spicy set and I’ve found some serious babes that will take your nails from basic bitch vibes to high glass honey move out my way.

+Starting off with Manchester’s hidden gem known as @Nailsbyyagalstudio. This secret studio is filled with four superior sisters of nail artists. In the heart of Ancoats you will find Pollards Yard, a mix of shipping containers home to a range of independent business owners including @nailsbyyagal, @_studiosaku_ @julyninetysix, @nails.bygeorge and @yanpaintsnails.
+These powerhouse creatives offer the most imaginative nails designs you could ever wish for. Alongside their chilled out vibes and endless supply of sweets, this quirky home from home salon is hands down, my new favourite self-care spot. Not to mention their in house shop with some lovely bits from fellow local designers. Spreading the love is what we like to see.
+Depending on what you’re after and the time needed to complete, will equal the price point. When I say it’s money well spent my nails have never looked this good and lasted 6 weeks without budging. The girls prices start from 35 for a basic BIAB going up to 52 for BIAB with advanced detailed nail art.
+Their talents are bloody endless taking inspiration from the latest fashion trends, the classic french tips with a twits, and even sponge bob square pants! The time and pride they put into their work shows.

+This next artist can only be described as the manicure queen.@Chelslounails who I found through instagram. Scrolling through her page is my guilty pleasure. If you’re a fan of Charlotte Emily and her clean minimal manicures then Chels is your girl. Her style is very different offering luxury manicures with more simplistic designs, less is more in her eyes. She is a home based nail artist who also offers training within her education academy courses.
+Painting to perfection her signature glossy nudes and oval clean finishes, has earnt her a host of loyal clients including MUA Hollyflynnmakeup. She really is all about the prep and like Megan said, it’s all about that base babes.
+Within what shes calls her nail rehab is her luxury manicure including a exfoliating hand scrub, relaxing massage and a finishing oil treatment, you really get a spa like experience from her home salon. Chels mission is to work with you to improve your natural nail health and offers numerous treatments starting from as little as 15 to 45. Shes someone you need to follow and would highly recommend. +My final talented creators can be found in the heart of Brummy’s Jewllery quarter and they gang call themselves@hardasnails_studio. The owner Shenique actually comes from a fashion design background but she found her ‘thing’ when she began creating art on her own nails. After building up her clientele with some unique crazy designs Shenique decided to open a studio where artists like herself could come together under one roof and express their creativity. The artists specialise in natural nails and modern nail art and their talents are endless as you can see. A absolute must if your in Birmingham.
